What are greebles?
Greebles are small decorative elements used to add detail and texture to the surfaces of models, sculptures, sets, and other objects. You might have seen them on sci-fi models, where they give spaceships or futuristic buildings a complex, technical look. They come in various shapes and sizes, and their main function is to enhance the appearance of a surface by adding intricate details.
What are they for?
Greebles are perfect for creative projects where you want to add something extra. You can use them in modeling, decoration or dioramas. If you're creating your own models or enhancing pre-made pieces, greebles allow you to add detail that takes your project to the next level.
What can I do with them?
The possibilities are truly endless! You can glue greebles onto different surfaces, paint them, combine them with other elements, or even customize them to suit your needs. For example, imagine transforming a simple plastic box into a futuristic control panel by adding a few greebles. Or improving your spaceship model with details that add authenticity and complexity.
Our customers ideas where to put them?
- That’s definitely the death star surface.
- Where is the Rest?????? Need an X-wing
- It looks like an opera house……
- That's no moon, it's a space station.
How do you cut them?
Greebles are usually made of plastic or resin, which means you can easily modify them with common modeling tools. To cut them, you can use a plastic saw or a hobby knife, and for finer adjustments, try a file. After cutting, we recommend smoothing the edges and removing any residue for the cleanest result.
