Great looking, but doesn't take into account the support rod in
This looks absolutely great and was easy to sand down from how it comes. The fit is great and it's really nice to have a part that just clips in essentially when the two halves of the secondary hull are together as this part can be tricky to align properly. The only issue I will say is that in the 2024 release of this kit, the support rod is a few millimetres forward of where it was in the original 80s kit and I don't think this part fully takes that into account. The instructions say to leave the clear part as is to be inserted from behind and have the lip acting as a stopper/glue anchor point. To get this to fit in my 2024 release, I had to cut the lip clean off so that the clear part now sits flush with the resin outer dish. It wouldn't have fitted otherwise. The instructions could do with an update to say to remove the lip as I believe the majority of people now would be using the 2024 release.

Best "6 ft. model" deflector dish in this scale
I bought and received this last week. Quick delivery. Fit & sculpt is amazing. The sample photo of it being lit up is pretty much what it looks like. The back of the dish housing may need more sanding and adjusting than the instructions say. Still, very impressed & satisfied, many thanks!
